Outline

The school singing contest is announced. We get a sneaky peek at some of the contestants rehearsing before the big event. One of the contestants pays big bucks to bribe one of the judges. A riot ensues after the dodgy judge gives the worst performer top marks. Out of the carnage steps the youngest contestant who goes on to win the top prize.

Episode One

OUTLINE
Brian is sleeping peacefully until he is woken by his alarm. He has slept in and needs to rush to get to school. Fractically he gets ready and sprints out the door. In a panic he runs to school, hoping that he'll get there before school starts. He makes it to the front door, only to find that it's closed. Checking his mobile he finds that it's actually Saturday.

CAST
Brian - Dylan Hefford-Thomsen
It was easy acting in this film because I was asked to do things that I already know how to do. I am able to do stunts because I have gone to gym class.

It was interesting finding out what stunts Dylan was capable of doing and working out how to film them.
Camera - Zach Boyle
I thought it was a new experience to make this film and I learnt how to keep trying to find different shots and take risks.

It was fun making this film. We practised using the camera and I learnt how to turn it on.
Camera - Tom Self
I really enjoyed going to different locations to do our filming.

The school episodes is a film project carried out by students of Thorndon Primary School, Wellington, New Zealand.

This project was begun in May 2007. Students from the Film Extension group have collaborated to create storyboards for a number of one-minute movies centred around a fictional school.
